Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. Your video is read and processed inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and the video is removed from the page as soon as your download finishes.

What can I edit in the preview?

You can edit the username, profile picture, like count, view count, upload time, caption and the comments, including a profile picture for each commenter.

How do comments work?

The comments card shows up to three comments at a time. If you add more, it rotates through them so every comment gets its turn on screen.

What format is the download?

The download is an MP4 where your browser supports it, and a WebM otherwise. It contains the full layout with your video and comments. The layout is recorded in real time, so a 30 second video takes about 30 seconds to build.

Why do I have to watch an ad first?

Drivnz is free to use, and a short ad before each download pays for it. Ad blockers can stop the download from starting, so please turn yours off for this site.

Why does the tab need to stay open while the video builds?

Browsers pause hidden tabs, which would pause the recording. Drivnz waits for you to come back and then carries on from the same spot.

Does it work on a phone?

The layout works on phone screens. Building the final video is most reliable in a current desktop browser such as Chrome, Edge or Safari.

Is Drivnz affiliated with YouTube?

No. Drivnz is an independent tool for mockups and previews and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
